Reusable Grooved Handwriting Workbooks
Yes, workbooks! For handwriting. These reusable workbooks are for ages 3-8 according to the maker of these, however I am sure they would help older ages too, if needed. My son hates writing, and it makes me sad because I love it. He won't even use my computer to type words or an AAC device. More on AAC devices in another blog post. On the other hand, he does not like talking much either, but he can. Back to the workbooks, these are grooved so the child is tracing but staying on and in the lines. It works great for Awesome, however he did not like using them for very long. And he also does not want to use it very much either.
Not the companies fault though, seriously Awesome dislikes writing so this was a long shot. But it is worth a shot to try for your kids, see if they will like it or not. I think if they like or don't mind writing, then they will like these workbooks just fine. However if they dislike writing then this might not make a difference. We got the style-1 option and it came with the magic pens, workbooks, etc. But the best part of all this, is that the workbooks are reusable! They fade after a few minutes, maybe 10 or so? It wasn't too long but also not too short either. Great for practicing!
The company says it takes up to 20 to 30 minutes, but really it was less than that. Kiddo would get through one page and then the ink at the top was already fading. But hey, it works. Then he can just repeat the same page if he wants to. All in all this is a very good product! Definitely recommend it, 10/10.
